The Wonderful Yingli town
Yingli is one town of Leizhou, which is a famous travel town in Zhanjiang area.
Looking the landform from a geographic and geologic point of vue,
Yingli town is located in ‘abdomen’ of Leizhou peninsula. These lands
are the vestiges of ancient volcanos, the terrain changes are
unpredictable. The cliff stands erect, the ancient volcano’s Yingfeng
ridge is full of canes and trees, the ancient Maar lake countryside
became fields. Going to Xiangshui Bay, visitor will discover strange
stone piles and old woods obstructing the sky.
Looking from the side of men history, here you will find ancient
human ruins from neolithic era ; the famous Leizhou giant old castle
(watchtower) ; many ancient villages and ancient woods and famous wood
; the unique town level museum of Yuexi, where has been collected big
stone plates and number of stone carving animals ever-changing ; Madame
Xian’s memorial (for Chen Sui heroine) and a lot of Buddhist
temple ; the memorial arch from Qing dynasty, Graves of thousand
persons, the beacon tower… And many folks and legends.
From the side of modern industry and agriculture, here is the
largest place for sisal hemp culture and processing, pineapples are all
over the mountain. Yingli town is proud of its pineapples and aloe
production which have high reputation.
